In large rooms such as church sanctuaries or auditoriums, speech
and music can sound distorted or confusing, even for those who
don't suffer from hearing loss. An Assistive Listening Device
delivers clear audio from your PA or existing sound system straight
to the ears of your listeners-without wires! It not only works
great for the hearing impaired, translators can discreetly broadcast
a different language, and tour group guides can keep in communication
with their group without vocal strain.
How an Assistive Listening Device Works
An Assistive listening system is the reverse of a wireless microphone
system. It's a wireless earphone system that includes a listening
transmitter and personal receivers.
The transmitter plugs directly to your existing PA amplifier
or powered mixer and transmits a low power FM wireless signal
through the air. The receiver picks up this wireless FM signal.
Then, it brings the signal (i.e., speaker's voice, music or program
sound) directly to the listener's ear through earbuds or headphones.
